Frequently asked questions

What is covered by the voucher?

Our voucher covers the spay or neuter surgery itself and a state-mandated rabies vaccine. Other services like additional vaccinations, worming, nail clipping, or tests are not included and must be paid for separately.

How old does a pet have to be?

Age requirements vary by veterinarian. Generally, kittens should be at least 8 weeks old or weigh 3 pounds. For puppies, it depends on their breed. Always consult with your chosen veterinary office for their specific guidelines.

Can my pet eat or drink before surgery?

Since your pet will receive anesthesia, it's typically recommended to withhold food after 5 p.m. the evening before and liquids after midnight for morning appointments. Your vet's office will provide precise pre-operative instructions.

Who makes the appointment with the veterinarian?

You are responsible for scheduling the appointment directly with the veterinarian once you receive your voucher from us. We do not arrange appointments for you.

How do I pay the vet?

Simply present your voucher at the veterinary office. It acts as payment for the covered services. Please keep your voucher safe, as it is essential for your pet's appointment.
